The gift of art

We have a tradition (if one point is a tradition) of having new babies give a gift to their siblings when they join the family. For example, knowing that there might be some contention for attention, Riley gave Megan a dollhouse when he was born to help smooth the way. Gavin has continued this practice by getting Megan and Riley a cool easel, complete with a blackboard, whiteboard, paper for painting, and a variety of art supplies. He picked it out himself, using a complex series of kicks and squirms to relate his choice to us while he was still in the womb. It's been quite a hit.
