Baby shower

Yesterday we attended a "baby shower" at my work, where they explained how parental leaves work, what benefits we get, etc. The most interesting benefit is they'll reimburse us up to $500 for take-out and delivery food, so we don't have to cook as much. We also got some baby schwag: a hat, onesie and bib, which was good because we needed to get Gavin some more clothes anyway. 

You're normally supposed to go to the shower 1-2 months before the baby arrives, but our procrastination and Gavin's early arrival conspired against us. He may have given us good luck, however, as we won the little raffle they had and got a gift card to Target.

After the shower we stopped by my office to show Gavin off to my coworkers. As it happened, it was also my manager's birthday, so we got pulled into a little party they were having and got to have some champagne before we headed home.
